Starting in Season 22, Iron Banner will have two different stacking challenges each day, one focused on improving the reputation multiplier without needing to use specific seasonal subclasses, the other geared towards players who are going after their Pinnacle rewards who do need to equip a specific subclass. This will show you all of the currencies, upgrade materials, and engrams available in the game, how to acquire them, and what to actually do with these materials. Transmats will now be unlocks instead of consumables-similar to shaders-the Wish-Ender quest is being tweaked to function like a normal mission, and a Resources tab in the Collections. You'll be able to pin up to 100 of your favorite shaders, ornaments, and emotes to the top of the list starting in Season 22, allowing you to quickly pull up those cosmetics and apply them to your new gear. Other smaller quality-of-life changes coming soon are focused on shaders, transmat effects, and resources. It’s basically free crystals without waiting for your abilities to return, and that’s a big deal considering the long recharge times for most Stasis abilities.Bungie hasn't detailed which resources you'll need to complete your Stasis collection, but if the process is similar to how you purchase Light 3.0 Aspects and Fragments from Ikora Rey, you'll probably be able to slip Elsie some Glimmer to get the goods. Overall, while I definitely wouldn’t take it into end game content, I think Headstone is a solid pick for Stasis builds that focus on shattering Stasis crystals. Whisper of Fissures is an obvious choice to combo with Headstone, and it boosts the damage noticeably. It also sets up a quick shatter kill if an enemy dares to attempt a revive. A Stasis crystal spawned from a Guardian defeat can make their Ghost inaccessible, or it might block a hallway. I’ve watched enemies shoot at a crystal until it shatters, killing them in the process. First, a Stasis crystals interrupt enemy pathing and will occasionally draw enemy fire. Stasis crystals have some odd quirks that make them extremely unique. Headstone offers Stasis crystals that can be shattered to spawn Stasis shards with the Tectonic Harvest Aspect, and with Cryoclasm your slide will instantly shatter a crystal and any frozen enemies nearby. The Behemoth subclass is largely built around shattering frozen enemies and Stasis crystals, and their Aspects give them the best tools to take advantage of them. Titans are the ‘shatter’ class when it comes to Stasis, although you might not have guessed it from all the Shatter Dive Hunters running around in Crucible. Headstone is might be the solution you’re looking for. Maybe you hate the Glacier grenade, but you still want crystals without running an Aspect to generate them. Both Stasis Fragments trigger by interacting with Stasis crystals, and depending on your Aspect/Fragment loadout you might not have many ways to generate them in your kit. Let’s face it: stasis crystals are an opportunity to generate more grenade energy with Whisper of Shards, or damage reduction with Whisper of Chains. Again, the range on the perk’s freeze isn’t great, so it’s not a reliable method of suppressing groups of enemies.īut let’s stop pretending that you’re not running a Stasis subclass while using a weapon with Headstone. Headstone also gives you the option to disengage against frozen enemies, offering a kind of crowd control Stasis is known for. Stasis weapons do increased damage to Stasis crystals, so destroying the crystal and inflicting shatter damage on nearby enemies is easy. If you can defeat an opponent at the center of a pack of enemies you’ll likely catch one or two of them in the freeze range. In a vacuum the Headstone perk is a bit like Dragonfly or Firefly with extra steps. The crystal size doesn’t appear to increase freeze range though, but it may impact other abilities. You’ll also only get a half-sized crystal for defeating most enemies, with majors and bosses generating taller crystals. The generated Stasis crystal can freeze nearby enemies, but the range isn’t great. It’s easy to dismiss Headstone as a mediocre perk the first time you try it out. Headstone Is Great…If You’re Running A Stasis SubclassĪs a reminder: Headstone spawns a Stasis crystal following a precision final blow at the target’s location.
